Is there any room for the truth in a justice system that rewards convictions, tolerates forged legal credentials, ignores an airtight alibi and admits coerced yet nebulous testimony? Toño Zúñiga finally gets lucky when a rare exception allows cameras in to observe his retrial (composed of several hearings), on a trumped-up murder conviction. Despite the prosecution’s dogged objection to a visual record of its stomach-churning courtroom antics, the resulting documentary footage comes to play a role far more significant than anyone anticipates. In its stunning indictment of Mexican jurisprudence, PRESUMED GUILTY invites unsettling suspicion that legions of other hapless Toños face groundless decades behind bars.

We need to show the world our "way of doing justice", we can not continue feeding a system that privileges a burocracy that works by pression of rates (as number of arrested ppl), where the duty process is just accessed by persons who can affort it.
