Fred Wesley (featured in SOUL POWER) began his professional career with Ike and Tina Turner. He was a music director, arranger, trombonist and primary composer for James Brown from 1968-1975, then arranged for and played with Parliament-Funkadelic and Bootsy's Rubber Band. A veteran of the renowned Count Basie Orchestra, Wesley has also played with a virtual who's-who of jazz greats including Ray Charles, Slide Hampton and Pancho Sanchez.
